Building Latent Defects
Our Building Latent Defects (Danish: Byggeskade) insurance is a Danish mandatory insurance product for privately owned residential projects. Cover incepts upon completion of the construction and insures the owner of the house or apartment against latent defects or errors relating to the construction. Cover is secondary to contractors warranties.
- Offered to residential projects intended for private owners in Denmark
- Cover provided according to legal requirements
- Policy period is 10 years
- Includes surveys after one and five years (on representative number of projects)
- Provides assistance for claims under the liability of the contractor
