IT Business Analyst

Are You Passionate About Bridging Business and Technology?

We are currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to connect the dots between business objectives and technical implementation, ensuring that clear, actionable solutions are aligned with strategic goals. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Who Are We?

The RiskPoint Group is a global Managing General Underwriter (MGU) providing best-in-class insurance solutions backed by the insurance companies we represent.

We are an agile company with strong cross-border collaboration, leveraging our extensive, international expertise.

Our company structure is flat, and we provide great opportunities for every employee to make a difference, take responsibility, enhance their skill set, and grow.

About The Team

You will become part of our growing Application Team which sits within the wider IT department. Our current team consists of six people, mostly based in the Copenhagen head office and two working remotely.

We work in a dynamic environment, with daily stand-ups and a specialized and collaborative approach where we always support each other.

About The Position

As our new IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing data, and translating insights into actionable solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the company to understand challenges, define requirements, and deliver insights that drive system and process improvements.

To succeed in this role, you need a structured and analytical mindset. You must be curious and ask the right questions, in order to be able to connect the dots between business and technology, and turn complexity into clarity. Some tasks require collaboration with developers, support teams, or external vendors, while others you will manage independently.

You will engage regularly with colleagues from various teams and play a vital role in bridging business goals with technical execution. You will have many opportunities to make a difference, take responsibility, excel, and grow.

This position requires onsite work from our Copenhagen office, reporting to our Application Manager, who is based remotely in Denmark.

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and documenting business requirements through meetings and workshops
  • Analyzing data and workflows to identify issues, trends, and areas for improvement
  • Translating business needs into clear specifications for improvement, development and implementation
  • Participating in system testing, validation, and rollout of new features or enhancements
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery
  • Supporting end-users during change processes with training, documentation, and guidance

We offer you the opportunity to:

  • Make a direct impact on the way we work by improving systems, business processes, and the overall IT experience
  • Work in a dynamic environment with skilled colleagues across departments and borders
  • Grow professionally through hands-on involvement in key projects and initiatives
  • Take ownership of your work while being part of a collaborative and supportive team

A Great Match for Us

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.  It is essential to have a proactive attitude, along with excellent communication, administrative, and analytical skills.

We hope you have:

  • A University degree, preferably within computer science, information studies, digital management, or a related field
  • Understanding of business processes within finance, insurance, or similar industries is a plus, but not required
  • Experience working with business or system analysis, requirement gathering, or process mapping
  • A strong interest in user-focused solutions
  • Ability to translate business requirements into user stories, process flows, or functional specifications
  • Conceptual understanding of integrations, APIs, and how systems interact
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms to manage tasks and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important, with an openness to learn and take on new challenges. We work in a fast-paced environment, so you will need to be reliable and solution focused, with clear communication skills.
