Who Are We?
The RiskPoint Group is a global Managing General Underwriter (MGU) providing best-in-class insurance solutions backed by the insurance companies we act on behalf of.
You will become part of our new, small team of highly skilled BI professionals, who together holds many years of experience in insurance data. Our BI team is part of our growing IT team, which is part of our Finance & Operations department. In this role, you will be working with other IT colleagues in both Denmark and the UK as well as colleagues from other departments.

About the Position
As our new BI Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data pipelines, reports, and dashboards.
This is an onsite role based either in our Copenhagen office or in our London office, with the option to work remotely if approved by your manager. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
You will report to our CTO, who is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for BI solutions
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected by new developments
- Conduct behavioral testing to validate the system’s behavior against expected outcomes
- Write and execute tests in dbt (data build tool) to ensure data transformations are accurate and reliable
- Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and analysts to understand requirements and validate solutions
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues through to resolution
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all data platforms
- Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI testing capabilities

A Great Match for Us
The ideal candidate will have completed a degree that provides a solid foundation in computer science principles, programming, data structures, and database management. That could be, for example, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
You must have worked professionally for 2-5 years in roles involving BI testing, demonstrating the ability to handle job-specific challenges and deliver results in a business environment.
Moreover you need to have:
- Extensive experience conducting regression tests to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Conducted behavioral tests to validate that the system behaves as expected under various conditions.
- Hands-on experience in designing and executing test plans for ETL pipelines, ensuring data is accurately extracted from various sources, correctly transformed into the required format, and reliably loaded into data warehouses or other destinations.
- Hands-on experience using dbt (data build tool) to write and execute tests for data transformations, proving your ability to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- High proficiency level in SQL and the capability of writing complex queries to validate data integrity and accuracy.
- Practical experience in validating data models and ensuring data consistency across the data warehouse.
- Experience validating data visualizations and dashboards to ensure you provide accurate and actionable insights.
- Demonstrated the ability to identify and solve complex data-related problems, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
It is furthermore a requirement that you have a proven track record of working effectively in team settings, communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have excellent problem solving skills, strong communication skills, and always pay attention to the details.
Although not required, we prefer you are:
- Experienced in validating and testing big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Iceberg), ensuring data processing and transformations are performed correctly and efficiently across large-scale datasets.
- Familiar with DevOps methodologies and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and infrastructure automation, indicating your ability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
