We operate in an agile organization with close cross-border cooperation across all business lines.

Our organizational structure is flat, leaving many opportunities for all employees to make a difference, take responsibility, excel, and grow.

RiskPoint is more than just a place of work: We prioritize social events and despite being a company with more than 250 employees, we do consider ourselves one closely knitted company. This is the place to work.

About the position

At RiskPoint, we’re all about pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation. As our Azure Cloud Administrator, you will be at the forefront of driving our IT infrastructure to new heights, leveraging Microsoft Azure to its fullest potential across various sections of RiskPoint.

You will be responsible for supporting existing IT project developments and will work closely with various teams to ensure the full potential of Azure is maximized while providing day-to-day support within your areas of expertise.

One of your primary roles will be to assess all the requirements and design appropriate solutions using Azure services. This involves understanding the goals, technical requirements, budget constraints, and recommending the most suitable Azure services that align with those requirements.

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Being responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing our Azure environment, including Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Azure Software as a Service (SaaS) in terms of design, implementation, performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Working closely with internal IT project teams to help design and implement Azure solutions that align with project requirements and business objectives and ensure that Azure resources are used effectively and efficiently to achieve project goals.
  • Exploring and evaluating new features and services in Azure to identify and leverage opportunities that can maximize the potential of Azure to improve business processes, enhance productivity, and drive innovation.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving Azure-related incidents, monitoring, and managing Azure resources as well as conducting root cause analysis for Azure-related issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to IT support teams and end-users as well as delivering training and documentation to promote self-service and knowledge sharing.
  • Participating in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance assessments for Azure-based resources and implementing security controls and measures to ensure data privacy and protection.

This position is located at our office in central Copenhagen. Current residency in the country of Denmark together with work and residency permit needs to be in place before applying.

A great match for us

It is crucial that you have an understanding of Azure’s various services, such as virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, and security, as well as how they can be integrated to create scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.

Moreover, you need to have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and an ability to quickly identify and resolve issues related to Azure-based infrastructure components.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is crucial to this role.

To be successful, we furthermore suggest you have a proactive and energetic attitude as well as strong interpersonal, administrative, and analytical skills. You should be able to handle complex tasks, enjoy taking responsibility, and thrive with increasing levels of independence. Being service minded, trustworthy, and helpful is also important attributes.

We hope you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure components in Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, load balancers, and networking components.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure resources, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • A deep understanding of Azure architecture, services, and features, and are familiar with Azure best practices and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Azure resource management using Azure Portal, Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other Azure management tools.
  • Have an understanding of IT infrastructure management concepts and best practices, including networking, storage, security, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Knowledge within IT infrastructure technologies, such as Active Directory, Windows Server, virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware), networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS).
  • Solid experience in configuring and managing Azure-based identity and access management (IAM) components, such as Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Domain Services.
  • Knowledge of Azure-based disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) strategies, including backup and restore, site recovery, and failover/failback processes.
  • Familiarity with Azure security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or related certifications.

However, the most important attribute is your attitude and dedication to the job.

We work across borders, so language skills are vital. Speaking and writing high level Danish and English is a must and a understanding of other Nordic languages is a plus.
