RiskPoint Expands Into Asia With the Strategic Hire of Maria Steeples to Launch Its Singapore Office
Following our successful expansion into North America last year, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Maria Steeples as Managing Director and Head of M&A for Asia Pacific. Maria will lead the opening of our Singapore office which will strengthen our worldwide offering and establish RiskPoint as a truly global specialist underwriting agency. Maria will drive the growth of our M&A insurance business across Asia Pacific together with Astrid O`Reilly as Chief Underwriting Officer for the region.
Having spent more than 14 years advising clients and insurers on M&A insurance throughout Asia, as Head of the Global M&A Insurance practice at Morrison & Foerster, Maria is widely recognised as one of the most experienced and respected professionals in M&A insurance in the region.
Singapore has been an important part of our strategic plan for some time and we are extremely excited to have Maria on board to lead our team in Asia Pacific. Maria’s industry knowledge, local expertise and market stature is unrivalled and we are thrilled to have her spearhead our vision to build an eminent local market for M&A insurance throughout the region.
Whilst initially focusing on Asian M&A insurance, the Singapore platform will enable us to broaden the geographic scope of other lines of business in line with the needs of our carriers and clients. We intend to be fully operational and open for business in Q1 2023.
