RiskPoint Appoints New Country Manager in Sweden
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Pekka Liukkonen has been appointed as Country Manager for RiskPoint Sweden as of the 1st January 2022 in addition to his current position as Country Manager for RiskPoint Finland. Agnetha Estwall will continue in her role as interim Country Manager until the 1st of January ensuring a smooth transition for Pekka and respective teams in Sweden and Finland.
Pekka has been with RiskPoint since 2018 and has a deep understanding of the RiskPoint business model, company vision and more importantly, our company culture. Professionally, Pekka has vast experience within first party underwriting and management positions predominately with AIG before joining RiskPoint. His latest position with AIG was heading up the Danish office with a sound cross-cultural acumen.
Historically, there has been (and still is) close ties between Sweden and Finland and within RiskPoint our Swedish and Finnish teams have also enjoyed a close and constructive cooperation. We have a strong team within Liabilities across Sweden and Finland. We have skilled resources within M&A, 1st Party and Distribution in Sweden. We wish to invest and scale within both 1st Party and M&A while utilising best practises within Distribution across both Sweden and Finland in close cooperation with group resources.
Pekka’s leadership capabilities and the obvious synergies between Sweden and Finland are compelling arguments for a common management across Sweden and Finland with a view of accelerating our value proposition in both territories.
Agnetha Estwall took the position as interim Country Manager in May following our appointment of Jan Jonassen to take leadership of our new business area “Credit and Collateral Enhancement”.
