We are looking for a part-time student to join our Stockholm office as an Assistant Underwriter within our Financial Lines team.

About the team

You will become part of our growing Financial Lines team, part of our broader Liabilities department comprising 60 specialists across various fields. We provide insurance solutions to small, medium, and large-sized Swedish companies, covering areas such as financial institutions, directors and officers, professional indemnity, and crime.

Our Swedish office consists of 26 colleagues working across multiple lines of business and countries, creating a very collaborative and engaging environment.

About the position

As our new Student Assistant Underwriter you will provide underwriting support to the Financial Lines Underwriters, carrying out various administrative tasks, and supporting in financial and risk analysis to support business decision making.

You will have the opportunity to learn about the insurance world and specifically our insurance offerings. Your tasks will vary and your duties will increase as part of your development and desire to learn.

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Legal and financial risk analysis
• Quotation of various insurance solutions
• Policy issuance
• Revision and development of insurance conditions
• Ongoing administrative tasks

A great match

To be successful in this role you will have a keen interest in underwriting and liability insurances as a whole, especially focusing on Financial Lines products.

We hope you have:

• A suitable educational background, preferably within the fields of business administration, finance, or law, or;
• Mid- to final year University studies within a relevant field
• Experience in financial analysis and risk assessment
• Knowledge of contractual terminology
• Sales and business administration experience

We require you to be a team player with a service minded, pro-active attitude towards handling complex tasks, as well as possessing strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

This is a student-friendly position with 10-15 working hours per week, and the opportunity to work more hours during non-study periods.  The work takes place at our offices in central Stockholm.

Fluency in both spoken and written Swedish and English is a requirement for this role.
