RiskPoint Strengthens Transactional Risk Claims Team with Key Promotions
The RiskPoint Group’s Transactional Risk team has grown over the past few years. Alongside that growth, we have have had focus on continuing to build out our In-house Claims team dedicated exclusively to Transactional Risk Claims  — making sure we have the right people in place to handle increasing volumes and deliver the kind of results our clients rely on.
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Lana Soroka to Head of Transactional Risk Claims (Europe) and Llewys Howells to Technical Lead Transactional Claims (Europe).
Lana joined the RiskPoint Group in 2020 as a senior underwriter in the Transactional Risk team, following several years as an M&A underwriter at various insurers, including AIG and Allied World, and as a corporate lawyer at CMS. In 2022, she transitioned to the Claims Team, bringing with her a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise. In her new role, Lana will be responsible for overseeing all transactional risk claims across Europe and leading the European claims team, ensuring consistent, high-quality claims handling and client service.
Llewys joined the RiskPoint Group in 2022 having previously worked in private practice at Clyde & Co LLP, a leading insurance law firm. Since joining RiskPoint, he has been an integral part of the Transactional Risks Claims Team. In his new role, Llewys will be responsible for overseeing complex claims and assisting the team in Europe with making strategical and technical decisions on our transactional risk claims.
Transactional Risk claims require more than technical expertise, they demand experience, a commercial mindset, and the ability to cut through the noise to make the right decision. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with both Lana and Llewys, and they bring all of that and more. These promotions reflect not only the impact they’ve already made, but also the trust we place in them as we continue to grow and strengthen our Claims offering for the long term.
